(Kirk Sides\/Houston Chronicle via Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the abilities of artificial intelligence (AI) tools <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2025\/07\/09\/ai-rapid-change-work-school\">advance rapidly<\/a>, a growing share of Americans say they are using the technology in their jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, 21% of U.S. workers say at least some of their work is done with AI, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in September. This analysis included 5,010 U.S. workers who are employed part time or full time and who have only one job or have more than one but consider one of them to be their primary job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/10\/SR_25.10.06_ai-and-work_questionnaire.pdf\">questions used for this analysis<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/10\/SR_25.10.06_ai-and-work_topline.pdf\">topline<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/10\/SR_25.10.06_ai-and-work_methodology.pdf\">survey methodology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The small share of those who say <em>all or most<\/em> of their work is done with AI is unchanged from 2024 (2%). But the share who say <em>some<\/em> of their work is done with AI increased from 14% to 19%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the share of workers who say they have not heard or read about AI use in the workplace decreased from 17% to 12%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Workers younger than 50 and workers with a bachelor\u2019s degree or more education are among the <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/social-trends\/2025\/02\/25\/workers-exposure-to-ai\/\">most likely to use AI in their job<\/a>.
