A teenage girl will typically send and receive 80 texts a day; a typical teenage boy will have half the volume of text messages (30 a day). Girls are also more likely to send several text messages to friends a day (86%) than are boys (64%). Fully 84% of teenage girls will have long exchanges via text messages, 76% will text about school work and 59% will send a text message \u201cjust to say hello\u201d several times a day.
