These findings come from a recent, nationwide survey of Mormons.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approximately six-in-ten Mormons (62%) say that the American people as a whole are uninformed about Mormonism. A similar number(68%) believe that the American people as a whole do not see Mormonism as part of mainstream society.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet most U.S. Mormons also think acceptance of Mormonism is on the rise. More than six-in-ten (63%) say that Americans are becoming more likely to see Mormonism as part of mainstream society. In additional, over half (56%) of those surveyed say that the American people are ready for a Mormon president. <a
