Red Seat\u2019s current brands include shows hosted by former Fox News hosts <strong>Tucker Carlson<\/strong> and <strong>Megyn Kelly<\/strong> as well as several true crime podcasts.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two-thirds of U.S. podcast listeners in a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2023\/04\/18\/podcasts-as-a-source-of-news-and-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2022 Pew Research Center survey<\/a> said they heard news discussed on the podcasts they listen to. And <strong>most podcast listeners said that hearing other people\u2019s opinions (71%) and staying up to date about current events (64%) is each at least a minor reason they listen to podcasts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among those who hear news on the podcasts they listen to, Republicans and GOP-leaning independents are more likely than Democrats and Democratic leaners to say they trust that news more than the news they get from other sources (46% vs. 19%).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcca\u00a0<strong>Chart of the week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five years after the outbreak of\u00a0<strong>COVID-19<\/strong>\u00a0in the U.S., a new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/politics\/2025\/02\/12\/5-years-later-america-looks-back-at-the-impact-of-covid-19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pew Research Center report<\/a> looks back at how<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>COVID-19 changed American life.
