The news organization says the collaborations will help the brand expand their audience and generate new revenue from sponsored content while allowing the influencers to\u00a0retain\u00a0editorial control and ownership over what they produce.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Roughly one-in-five\u00a0Americans (21%) say they regularly get news from news influencers on social media,<\/strong>\u00a0according to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/fact-sheet\/news-influencers-fact-sheet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025 Center survey<\/a>, including<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>38% of Americans under 30 years old. About half of adults who get news this way (52%) say\u00a0<strong>most of the\u00a0influencers they\u00a0get news from\u00a0operate\u00a0independently<\/strong>\u00a0and are not affiliated with any news organization.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcca\u00a0<strong>Chart of the week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week\u2019s chart comes from a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2026\/04\/09\/americans-still-opt-for-print-books-over-digital-or-audio-versions-few-are-in-book-clubs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new Pew Research Center analysis of Americans\u2019 reading habits<\/a>.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Three-quarters of U.S. adults say they have read all or part of at least one book in the past 12 months \u2013 and\u00a0<strong>print continues to be the only book format used by a majority of Americans,<\/strong>\u00a0with much smaller shares saying they have read an e-book or listened to an audiobook.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br><strong>But digital and audiobooks have become more widely used over time.<\/strong>\u00a0About three-in-ten adults (31%) now report reading an e-book in the past year, up from 17% in 2011.
