Earlier this week, I presented and moderated a panel at the Internet Safety Town Hall at the National Educational Computing Conference in San Antonio, Texas. My co-panelists and I unpacked the data around the online safety issues, particularly around issues of unwanted contact online – namely stranger contact and cyberbullying. Practioners on the panel shared their on-the-ground experiences. <\/p>\n\n
The second half of the town hall, moderated by Adam Thierer<\/a> of the Progress and Freedom Foundation, addressed strategies and solutions to some of these issues, with an emphasis on education over regulation. e-School News TV recorded the session and broadcast a story about the session, including highlights from various presenters, and has posted the video<\/a>
