His primary areas of research with the project include the role of the Internet in the <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Topics\/Activities-and-Pursuits\/Politics.aspx\">political process<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Topics\/Activities-and-Pursuits\/Communities.aspx\">technology in civic life<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Topics\/Activities-and-Pursuits\/Government.aspx\">online engagement with government<\/a>. He has also authored research on <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Reports\/2010\/Mobile-Access-2010.aspx\">mobile Internet usage<\/a>, the role of the Internet in <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Reports\/2008\/Networked-Families.aspx\">family life<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Reports\/2010\/Home-Broadband-2010.aspx\">demographic trends in technology adoption<\/a>. Aaron has been with the project since the spring of 2007. He holds a master\u2019s degree in public affairs and an undergraduate degree from the Plan II Honors Program, both from the University of Texas at
