Cell phones have become a portal for an ever-growing list of activities.\u00a0 In nationally representative phone surveys in the spring and summer, the Pew Research Center\u2019s Internet &amp; American Life Project obtained readings on some of the most popular activities:<\/p>\n\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Figure 1\" src=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/media\/EEB182BBD1E147ECB76C9F1FD9AEEAB7.jpg\" width=\"499\" height=\"382\"><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over time, the number of cell owners performing each activity has grown.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" align=\"center\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\"
