href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Topics\/Activities-and-Pursuits\/Social-Networking.aspx\">social <\/a>technologies are transforming\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/Topics\/Activities-and-Pursuits\/Health.aspx\">health and health care<\/a> in the U.S. She also discussed the Pew Research Center&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/global\/2012\/12\/12\/social-networking-popular-across-globe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">global findings <\/a>regarding the popularity of social networking sites in\u00a0countries such as Britain,\u00a0Russia, the Czech Republic and Spain and the ubiquity of cell phones in countries such as Jordan, Turkey, China, and Japan.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The theme of the\u00a02013\u00a0symposium sponsored by the NIH HIV\/AIDS Clinical Trials Networks was &#8220;Threading the Needle&#8221; and was held in conjunction with three other organizations&#8217; meetings in Washington, DC, that week:\u00a0the HIV Vaccine Trials Network,\u00a0the HIV Prevention Trials Network, and the\u00a0International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials Group.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"One voice, many inflections: communicating
