The survey was conducted on landline phones (n=704) and cellphones (n=1,300) in English and Spanish. The margin of error for the full sample is plus or minus 2.4 percentage points. Some of the questions were asked only of some of the respondents and the margin of error on those smaller groups are higher. Pew Research Center is a subsidiary of The Pew Charitable Trusts, its primary funder.
