In light of mounting concerns about the personal and societal impacts of technology, Pew Research Center and Elon University\u2019s Imagining the Internet Center queried technology experts, scholars and health specialists on this question:\u00a0Over the next decade, how will changes in digital life impact people\u2019s overall well-being physically and mentally?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Some 1,150 experts responded in this non-scientific canvassing. Some\u00a047%<\/strong>\u00a0of these respondents predict that individuals\u2019 well-being will be\u00a0more helped than harmed<\/em>\u00a0by digital life in the next decade, while\u00a032%\u00a0<\/strong>say people\u2019s well-being will be more\u00a0harmed than helped.<\/em>\u00a0The remaining\u00a021%\u00a0<\/strong>predict there will\u00a0not be much change in people\u2019s well-being<\/em>\u00a0compared to now.
