Casual and personal accounts make it an interesting read. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WWLTV Blog:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wwltv.com\/local\/stories\/WWLBLOG.ac3fcea.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The local TV station\u2019s blog<\/a> contains updates as and when they come in. Also written by staff writes, the Blog contain AP updates and personal accounts. It manages to achieve a chronology of major developments <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NPR Blog:<\/strong> National Public Radio has also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/news\/specials\/hurricane\/katrina\/blog_090105.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dedicated a blog<\/a> to the coverage of the hurricane, and updates regularly with the latest news. The blogs are updated daily, providing both a general overview of the situation as well as individual stories. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MetroBlogging New Orleans:<\/strong> A <a href=\"http:\/\/neworleans.metblogs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">central site for dispatches<\/a> from New Orleans bloggers, the site has become a focal point for up to the minute first hand details of the situation. Blogs include information as well as personal commentaries and criticism, and has a link to flickr photos.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>USC Annenberg\u2019s Online Journalism Review:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojr.org\/ojr\/wiki\/katrina\/%20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Provides resources<\/a> on Katrina that can be edited by readers. Contributions include a list of links to professional and grassroots news of the devastation in New Orleans and along the Gulf coast, as well as a compilation of missing people lists. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Katrina People Finder Project:<\/strong> A <a href=\"http:\/\/katrina.internet2.edu\/wiki\/index.php\/PeopleFinderVolunteer%20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">site that uses wikipedia<\/a> to create a single database of all missing people. Still a work in progress, the central database already has more than 15,000 records entered within one week of the storm.
