The Center\u2019s experts made changes this year to <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2020\/12\/08\/measuring-news-consumption-in-a-digital-era\/\">improve measurements of news consumption<\/a> on social media. Those changes are described below. Accordingly, these measures should not be directly compared with similar data from earlier years.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the measure of how often respondents get news from social media:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 2019, all respondents were asked how often they get news from social media.
