In 1993-94, city school districts educated a majority of black and Hispanic students (Figure 4). Although the number of minority students enrolled in city school districts has increased, by 2006-07 city school districts educated less than half of minority student populations. In 2006-07, suburban schools educated 51% of the nation\u2019s Asian students, 36% of the Hispanic students and 33% of the black students.
