The Center also recently conducted a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/fact-sheet\/teens-and-social-media-fact-sheet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">survey of U.S. teens ages 13 to 17<\/a>, which found that over half (58%) use TikTok daily, including 17% who use TikTok \u201calmost constantly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"new-from-pew-research\">\ud83d\udea8 <strong>New from Pew Research Center<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Black Americans have long had a complex relationship with the news media. Measures include the\u00a0<strong>removal of election and civic misinformation<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>collaboration with fact-checking organizations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/global\/2022\/12\/06\/views-of-social-media-and-its-impacts-on-society-in-advanced-economies-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2022 Pew Research Center survey<\/a>, people in seven of the 10 EU countries surveyed are more likely to say social media has been\u00a0<strong>a good thing rather than a bad thing for democracy in their country<\/strong>. In the same survey, majorities of adults in all 10 of these EU countries say that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/global\/2022\/08\/31\/climate-change-remains-top-global-threat-across-19-country-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the spread of false information online is a major threat to their country<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"chart-of-the-week\">\ud83d\udcca\u00a0<strong>Chart of the week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week&#8217;s chart is from our archives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After <strong>Jon Stewart returned to The Daily Show this week<\/strong> to host on Mondays during the presidential election year, we look back at data collected before Stewart stepped down in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2015\/08\/06\/5-facts-daily-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2014 survey of online Americans<\/a>, roughly equal shares said that they trusted (16%) and distrusted (18%) <strong>The Daily Show as a source of government and political news<\/strong>.
