Puck is<span style=\"color: rgb(29, 28, 29); font-family: Slack-Lato, Slack-Fractions, appleLogo, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-variant-ligatures: common-ligatures; white-space-collapse: collapse;\">&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/puck.news\/who-is-puck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">owned and operated by the individual journalists<\/a> who contribute to the site, an example of an <strong>emerging business model that centers journalists in their organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year, a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2022\/06\/14\/journalists-express-high-job-satisfaction-but-are-concerned-about-the-state-of-the-news-industry\/#struggling-and-chaotic-are-the-words-journalists-most-often-use-to-describe-their-industry:~:text=Despite%20mostly%20positive,declining%E2%80%9D%20or%20%E2%80%9Cstruggling.%E2%80%9D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Center survey of U.S. journalists<\/a> found that <strong>journalists recognize the instability and turmoil in the news industry<\/strong>. When asked to provide the one word they would use to describe the current state of their industry, journalists largely point to challenges.
