In a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/news-and-events\/podcast-destination-on-youtube-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a>, YouTube said it will be \u201cincreasing  investment in the podcast experience on YouTube Music\u201d with focus on \u201ccommunity, discovery and switching between audio and visual.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roughly half of U.S. adults say they have listened to a podcast in the past year, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2023\/04\/18\/podcasts-as-a-source-of-news-and-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2022 Pew Research Center survey<\/a>, including <strong>one-in-five who report listening to podcasts at least a few times a week<\/strong>. Two-thirds of podcast listeners say they have heard news discussed on the podcasts they listen to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"new-from-pew-research\">\ud83d\udea8 <strong>New from Pew Research Center<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2023\/09\/26\/black-americans-experiences-with-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new Pew Research Center survey<\/a> focuses on Black Americans\u2019 experiences with the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Key findings include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Black Americans see <strong>several problems in news coverage of Black people<\/strong>.
