It is unclear whether the two will debate before November\u2019s election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presidential debates remain among the most watched events on TV, although the Trump-Biden debates in 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/09\/30\/business\/media\/trump-biden-debate-ratings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">did not attract as many viewers<\/a> as the debates between Trump and Hillary Clinton in 2016. CBS News 24\/7 will be a &#8220;whip-around&#8221; program that incorporates coverage from national and local journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/fact-sheet\/news-platform-fact-sheet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2023 Pew Research Center survey<\/a>, <strong>58% of Americans said that they prefer to get their news from digital devices<\/strong>, up from 52% in 2020. This compares with <strong>27% of Americans in 2023 who said they prefer to get their news from TV<\/strong>, down from 35% three years prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"chart-of-the-week\">\ud83d\udcca&nbsp;<strong>Chart of the week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week&#8217;s chart highlights Americans&#8217; views of ChatGPT as a source of information about the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just <strong>2% of U.S. adults say they have a great deal or quite a bit of trust in election information from ChatGPT<\/strong>, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2024\/03\/26\/americans-use-of-chatgpt-is-ticking-up-but-few-trust-its-election-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent Center survey<\/a>, while 10% say they have some trust in this information and 38% have little to no trust.
