Sports Illustrated has since removed the articles and author pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Using AI to create content does not seem to be a widespread practice<\/strong> in newsrooms at this stage. Just 8% of U.S. journalists said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2022\/06\/14\/many-journalists-say-social-media-helps-at-work-but-most-decry-its-impact-on-journalism\/#:~:text=While%20social%20media,29%25%20are%20unsure.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2022 Pew Research Center survey<\/a> that their news organization relies on content generated by computer programs using AI at least a little, including only 1% who said this happens a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"new-from-pew-research\">\ud83d\udea8 <strong>New from Pew Research Center<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week, we released a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2023\/11\/28\/audiences-are-declining-for-traditional-news-media-in-the-us-with-some-exceptions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">roundup of key audience and economic trends<\/a> from our <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/topic\/news-habits-media\/news-media-trends\/state-of-the-news-media-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">State of the News Media<\/a> project. <strong>Audiences are shrinking for several traditional types of news media<\/strong> \u2013 such as local TV stations, most newspapers and public radio \u2013 even as they grow for newer platforms like podcasts, as well as for a few specific media brands. Union members at ProPublica fear the organization\u2019s support undermines the strike\u2019s effectiveness.
