It claims the book contained \u201cfabrications\u201d and that the articles were &#8220;false, malicious, defamatory, and disparaging.\u201d The Times and Penguin said the lawsuit is without merit.\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-c41d867ea5de8581 wp-block-newsletterglue-text ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" align=\"none\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:8px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;text-align:none;color:#2a2a2a\"><p>This isn\u2019t the president\u2019s first legal clash with media companies: Since the beginning of 2024, Trump has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2025\/09\/16\/trump-new-york-times\/86177814007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">also sued<\/a> The Wall Street Journal, The Des Moines Register, CBS News and ABC News, with the latter two reaching settlements. An additional 23% say they have no preference.
