The system will allow users to contribute additional context to videos on the platform, including those they see as containing false or misleading information.&nbsp;<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-6bf4af2fdab5a497 wp-block-newsletterglue-text ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" align=\"none\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:8px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;text-align:none;color:#2a2a2a\"><p>The introduction of this fact-checking tool comes at a time when <strong>TikTok users are increasingly getting news on the site.<\/strong> The share of U.S. adult TikTok users who regularly get news on the platform has <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2024\/09\/17\/more-americans-regularly-get-news-on-tiktok-especially-young-adults\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than doubled<\/a> in recent years \u2013 from 22% in 2020 to 52% in 2024.
