Most said that Americans as a whole have either some trust (44%) or little to no trust (42%).&nbsp;<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-ac2755cdaf8e8736 class=\"ng-block-e0e192bf678f2acd wp-block-newsletterglue-text ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" align=\"none\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:8px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;text-align:none;color:#2a2a2a\"><p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2020\/03\/18\/americans-immersed-in-covid-19-news-most-think-media-are-doing-fairly-well-covering-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2020 Center survey<\/a> conducted the same week, <strong>about nine-in-ten Americans (89%) were following news about the outbreak very or fairly closely.<\/strong> While 70% said at the time that the news media had covered COVID-19 at least somewhat well, a majority also said that the media had either greatly (37%) or slightly (25%) exaggerated the risks of the virus.
