Trump sued CBS News in October over a 60 Minutes interview with his general election opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, and he sued The Des Moines Register this week over a pre-election poll that showed him trailing Harris in Iowa. (He ultimately won the state by 13 percentage points.)<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-35e40e083ff214ef wp-block-newsletterglue-text ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" align=\"none\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:8px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;text-align:none;color:#2a2a2a\"><p>Trump\u2019s tensions with the news media are not new. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2017\/04\/04\/most-say-tensions-between-trump-administration-and-news-media-hinder-access-to-political-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">survey we conducted in March 2017<\/a>, early in his first term as president, <strong>83% of U.S. adults said the relationship between Trump and the media was generally unhealthy, <\/strong>and 73% said these tensions were getting in the way of Americans\u2019 access to important political news.
