CBS said that Trump declined an interview on 60 Minutes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/60-minutes-trump-axed-interview-demanding-apology-2020-sit-down-complained-fact-checks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in part because he objected to the show\u2019s fact-checking practice<\/a>. And the Trump campaign reportedly complained about the fact-checking that occurred <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/trump-campaign-abc-fact-checking-b2629140.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">during his September debate<\/a> with Kamala Harris.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-0df4b7e4747664af wp-block-newsletterglue-text ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" align=\"none\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:8px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;text-align:none;color:#2a2a2a\"><p>During the previous presidential election cycle, we measured <strong>sharp partisan differences in views of fact checking.<\/strong> When asked about fact-checking efforts by news outlets and other organizations in a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2019\/06\/27\/republicans-far-more-likely-than-democrats-to-say-fact-checkers-tend-to-favor-one-side\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2019 Center survey<\/a>, seven-in-ten Republicans said fact-checkers tend to favor one side, while roughly three-in-ten Democrats (29%) expressed this view.
