A <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/fact-sheet\/news-platform-fact-sheet\/?tabItem=e54e0c8d-6f0d-486f-809a-274eec12517d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2024 survey<\/a> found that about a third of U.S. adults under 50 (34%) say they at least sometimes get news from podcasts, higher than the share in older age groups. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/journalism\/2024\/10\/10\/americans-views-of-2024-election-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new survey<\/a> looks at Americans\u2019 views and consumption of election news.\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-c386b1fe96bb6d24 wp-block-newsletterglue-text ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" align=\"none\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:8px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;text-align:none;color:#2a2a2a\"><p>Among the key findings:<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-abfc59569979a57a wp-block-newsletterglue-list ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px;padding-left:40px;padding-right:20px;color:#2a2a2a\"><ul class=\"wp-block-newsletterglue-list\"><li class=\"ng-block\" style=\"padding-bottom:0px\">Overall, <strong>about seven-in-ten Americans say they are following news about the candidates in the 2024 presidential election very (28%) or fairly (40%) closely.<\/strong> This is up from 58% in April and 65% in July, mirroring a pattern also seen in 2020 in which attention increases closer to Election Day.<\/li>\n\n<li class=\"ng-block\" style=\"padding-bottom:0px\">About three-quarters of U.S. adults (73%) say they have seen election coverage that they think is inaccurate at least somewhat often.\u00a0And roughly <strong>half (52%) say they generally find it difficult to determine what is true<\/strong> and what is not when getting election news.<\/li>\n\n<li class=\"ng-block\" style=\"padding-bottom:0px\"><strong>Views toward election coverage often differ by party. <\/strong>For example, more than half of U.S. adults say the media have done very (13%) or somewhat (45%) well covering the election. But Democrats are about twice as likely as Republicans to hold this opinion (77% vs. 39%).<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-81651ce53bd4ef46
