And <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/children-ban-social-media-australia-87f3c0cd5609329fd64852b3deffc289\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Australia has proposed banning social media<\/a> for children under a certain age (between 14 and 16).<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div width=\"100%\" class=\"ng-block-963bd2bce91c595d wp-block-newsletterglue-text ng-block\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\"><div><div><div class=\"ng-block-td\" align=\"none\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-family:Georgia;line-height:1.6;font-weight:normal;padding-top:8px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;text-align:none;color:#2a2a2a\"><p><strong>Parents of U.S. teens (ages 13-17) have a range of concerns about the effects of their teens\u2019 social media use<\/strong>, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2022\/12\/15\/explicit-content-time-wasting-are-key-social-media-worries-for-parents-of-u-s-teens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2022 Pew Research Center survey<\/a>. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/race-and-ethnicity\/2024\/03\/19\/how-hispanic-americans-get-their-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a 2023 Center survey<\/a>, just over half of U.S. Hispanic adults (54%) get their news mostly in English \u2013 far higher than the share who get their news mostly in Spanish (21%). An additional 23% say they get news in both languages about equally.
