Financially, advertiser expenditures for the news programs of the three major networks (ABC, CBS and NBC) have declined substantially since 2020. (Average audience is defined as the average number of TVs tuned to a program throughout a time period.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ABC evening news viewership remained above 7 million, with 7.4 million viewers in 2021 and 7.6 million viewers in 2022.
