She was involved in all aspects of the research process, including designing survey questionnaires, managing fieldwork, assessing data quality and writing reports. Devlin earned her master\u2019s degree from Yale University\u2019s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, with concentrations in quantitative research and Chinese studies. Previously, she served as a Fulbright grantee in Malaysia. Devlin has written on numerous topics, including <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/global\/2019\/03\/25\/a-sampling-of-public-opinion-in-india\/\">public opinion in India<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/global\/2018\/11\/12\/despite-rising-economic-confidence-japanese-see-best-days-behind-them-and-say-children-face-a-bleak-future\/\">economic issues in Japan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/global\/2019\/08\/13\/u-s-views-of-china-turn-sharply-negative-amid-trade-tensions\/\">global attitudes toward China<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/short-reads\/2018\/08\/06\/most-european-students-are-learning-a-foreign-language-in-school-while-americans-lag\/\">language learning in Europe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/pew-research-center-decoded\/exploring-the-link-between-european-political-parties-ideology-and-their-popularity-on-twitter-1db4767cb8e3\">applied data science methods<\/a>.
