Former Research Methodologist
Martha McRoy is a research methodologist in the Pew Research Center international methods team. She advises on complex sample design, survey implementation, data quality assessment, and data weighting for international projects across the Center. Prior to joining the Center, she was a statistician at the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) where she worked on the publication Education at a Glance. Before joining the OECD, she was a survey statistician at Westat where she developed complex sample designs, designed and implemented strategies for data weighting and imputation, and conducted analyses for government agencies and international organizations. She holds a master’s degree in survey methodology from the University of Michigan, is on the board of the Washington Statistical Society (WSS), and is an active member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) and the American Statistical Association (ASA).
