Senior Researcher
Kirsten Eddy is a senior researcher at Pew Research Center, where she specializes in U.S. and global news and information habits and attitudes including news engagement, young audiences, and diversity and representation in news. She is a research associate and former postdoctoral research fellow with the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford.
Kirsten is the co-author of two books: “Power in Ideas” (Cambridge University Press, 2021) and “Recoding the Boys’ Club” (Oxford University Press, 2020). She obtained her Ph.D. in media and communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication.
