Just about every young American adult owns a cell phone. Among adults ages 18 to 29, an overwhelming 96% possesses a cell phone of some kind. While the youth record is especially impressive, cell phone ownership is near universal among all age groups. Fully 85% of all American adults own a cell phone, making it the most prominently- owned gadget among seven tested.
